I, too, get stares and comments - I have 3 little ones (5, 4 and 2) and for the longest time, I'd get rudeness. Not that everyone was. And my kids have always been well behaved 9 out of 10 times. I remember being VERY preggo with my baby and pushinga double stroller with a 1 and a 2 year old. YES, they are mine. YES, they were ALL planned, and YES DUH, it gets a bit busy. HEY LADY, at least I'm having SEX! UGH. Nervy people. WEll, I just wanted to let you know that I relate. And I know how you want to cry. I was at the grocery store with my three not too long ago when the youngest (19 months) decided to throw THE mother of all tantrums. I was sweatin' bullets, my friend, and of course the lady in front of me was SO friggin' slow. What I hate is all the non-parents who snort, "I'm never gonna let my kid act like that." I feel like saying, You just wait. You'll get what's coming to you. Luckily that day there were TWO nice moms who came to my rescue - one to make googly faces at my Bridget and the other to unload my cart for me. I wanted to cry, I was so grateful. I always make it a point, while in public, to help a pooped out mom with her brood, I've assisted with everything from a bloody nose to a vomiting kid Cry all you want, friend.
