Every time I hear this song I tear up. Some days, much like today, you feel like you want to put your head through the wall. I found myself saying, “just go play” 100 times today. Bad mommy indeed, lol. Seriously though, they do grow up too damn fast and then it is quiet and you miss the hell out of them! So anyway, here are the words to the song, it is by Trace Adkins.

I love this song, thank you for sharing. It can also help someone who has just left college-. Our young lives all we want to do is leave home and grow up .. then we do.. and we miss our parents and friends..

First time here. I am almost at this stage in life; two of mine are headed off to college this week and one is a freshman in high school. It really does go quickly. And you do want their happiness, but it’s not without a little bit of selfish heartache. Who sings this song?

Man, I don’t know about that, creeping into my mid thirties I remember college like it was yesterday, and boy did we do some stupid things. I am sure it will be hard to let go. Trace Adkins sings the song, I think it is about a year old. I am a sap for songs!
